Mr Barrett was very polite and understanding, took great care in listening and answering any questions or queries I had. Made the whole experience much calmer for me as I was nervous about my procedure when coming to the hospital. Very good doctor.

Mr Barratt was very perceptive and although I went to him for what might have been a broken foot bone - that turned out to be a ruptured ligament -- now repairing nicely on its own; he recognised that my foot and bottom of my leg was very swollen -- he enquired about recent history [a boxing day spent in Swindon Hospital ++] and recognised the signs of the intravenous anti-blood clotting agent wearing off --- he immediately prescribed some more pills and in a few days most of the signs of heading for another DVT were abating -- that process still continues today. I am most grateful to him for being more than a "foot specialist" and for saving me from something that could have been SO much worse.

My only criticisms is to the length of time I was kept in a cubicle without anyone acknowledging I was there . I felt like I had been forgotten as I was left for an hour and 25 minutes before anyone came to speak to me.
